Children’s Day and Traditional Culture: May 5th

Thank you for taking the time to read the FB Management newsletter!

On May 5th, which is Children’s Day in Japan, you can enjoy the country’s traditional culture.😊

It’s a day to wish for the healthy growth of families and children, symbolized by colorful koinobori (こいのぼり) and kabuto kazari (兜かざり).

Moreover, enjoying delicious food during celebrations is also a part of Japanese culture.

How about traditional Japanese sweets for Children’s Day celebrations?

Rice Syrup is a traditional Japanese sweet that has captivated many people with its history and deliciousness.

Furthermore, rice syrup is rich in nutrients and contains elements that are considered beneficial for the body. Among these, the following points are noteworthy:

We recommend the rice syrup from Sato Den Masuo Shouten Co., Ltd.!

A traditional syrup made by saccharifying rice with malt. Unlike simple starch syrup saccharified with acid, this amber-colored rice syrup has a rich flavor profile reminiscent of natural materials.

It has a gentle yet rich taste when consumed as is. It also pairs well with yogurt or ice cream.

Additionally, as a must-have seasoning in everyday cooking, how about incorporating rice syrup into your dishes?

Thank you for reading until the end.

Hi, I’m Matsumoto, the writer for this issue of FB Times.

My home has a kabuto-kazari (helmet decoration) that was passed down to me from my late grandparents. Originally, it belonged to my younger brother, but it was too large for him to display, so he passed it on to me. Now, I have it displayed for my son. I cherish it and hope to pass it down through generations.

We’ll keep sharing more information about Japan, so stay tuned!
