PRODUCT HIGHLIGHTS

The model for our signature product, the Mikado Rice Syrup, is a rice syrup, which is said to be Japan's oldest candy. However, as the Japanese economy developed cheap and mass-produced starch syrup became mainstream over the time-consuming and skillful production of rice syrup, we realized the commercialization of "Mikado Rice Syrup'' because we felt that it would be a shame for rice syrup to disappear, and wanted to pass on the importance of this ancient Japanese sweetener. "Mikado Rice Syrup" is characterized by its amber color and simple taste which pursues the flavor of rice syrup, with a deeper richness than other rice syrup. Made using the ancient method of saccharifying domestic rice with malt, it contains no additives and is rich in vitamin B2 and minerals. Maltose, the main sugar, is not absorbed in the intestines thus mitigating the rapid increases in blood sugar levels. This gentle sugar product is highly recommended for everyone, from small children to the elderly.

Our products

Mikado Rice Syrup

Rice syrup is a candy that has been handed down since ancient times and is made by saccharifying rice with malt. Contains no artificial sweeteners, preservatives, or bleach. Enjoy the rich, amber-colored rice syrup with a lively flavor that is completely different from sweet starch syrup made by saccharifying starch with acid. Choose the color of the jar as you like. After use, the jar can be used to store preserved foods such as pickled plums and kelp, as well as to store candy and small items.

Nara Konpeito (Iroha Flavor)

"Konpeito" is a type of sugar confectionery, and its name comes from the Portuguese word "Confeito". We named it "Nara Konpeito,'' which has a history of over 1,300 years. Japanese-style konpeito with plum, ginger, matcha, mint, and cinnamon flavors. You can enjoy various flavors. It's also perfect for tea. It will be delivered in a special box.

Nara Honey(Soyogo Honey)

Pure honey is attractive for its natural taste, with no ingredient adjustments or additives. Honey is collected around Ikaruga, Nara Prefecture. Since it is a natural product, the type of honey that can be collected changes from time to time.

Awa Wasanbon Sugar (Dried Sweets)

Wasanbon sugar is made from sugar cane only called "bamboo sugar" (commonly known as fine millet), which is a native variety that is still cultivated in parts of Tokushima and Kagawa prefectures. We make dried sweets using only Wasanbon sugar, without using binders or coloring agents. As a result, it is a little brittle and doesn't look good, but you can enjoy the authentic taste of Wasanbon sugar.
